Campaign: 5E Wygol Village & Sunless Citadel

Organizing for my adventure, in multiple parts.

To Do

  • Setting: Race/Species definition/Half Elf/Orc

Priority

  1. Player Updates to Discord.
  2. Prepare the Dungeon/read
  3. Prepare more Town/Villagers
  4. Random Encounters
  5. Sites: Quarry, Mine

ToDo: Dungeon

  • Kobolds: prepares for possible outcomes, red alert.
  • Goblins: still unprepared, in chaos soon.

ToDo: Wygol

  • Start keeping track of time, and figure out effects.
  • Nathan and Jacob waiting for news.
  • Scout returns, wagon ordered, bringing the Squire
  • Squire arrives, must detail, and plot.
  • Tim, mental break down, retire, really sorry, make ammends, pay
  • Hugh realize might give Roland a own room, or with a woman
  • Richter waiting to see how the adventurers manage.

ToDo: Extra

  • Start preparing ruined forts/mines, too strong for now.
  • Encourage players to rather get familiar with land, scout.
  • Setup villagers (details)
  • Random Encounter tables (re-use caravan ones)

ToDo: Players

  • Map, improve, pre-plan, and ready tileset, let map after session.
  • Notes, teach keywords, sum events not details.
  • Read up on the dungeon the day before, be prepared.
  • Laptops/cellphones silent/away.
  • Roleplaying characters, talk to each others, no more player chatter.
  • Hurrying actions, can't decide, then stand over turn.

Caravan:

  • Leader Merchant, personality
  • X wagons, drivers (hp7, ac12, light xbow, +2).
  • Locations, make road, origin and how to get to Wygol, fit in old road
  • Ambushes, make a bunch, randomize them? Be creative, try many things.
  • Reward for how much makes it to Wygol
  • Merchant's connection is “Jacob” in Wygol

Caravan Guards:

  • plan out the caravan SessionZero mission
  • Merchant caravan leader, personality, try to sell everything
  • Size of caravan, number of drivers.

Caravan Encounters:

  • Giant Toad (waterhole)
  • Hobgoblins (Ambush, roadblock, archers either in forest to side of canyon)
  • Lizardfolk (waterhole, river?)
  • Orcs (blitz)
  • Goblins (test numbers vs cr, straight up rush)
  • Stirges (forest)
  • Skeletons (night raid)

Wygol Village

To Do

WIP

Wygol idea:

replace oakhurst with Wygol village, since I have most of the background ready already.

  • Make map
  • plan ways to let players expand the village
  • use as a base
  • build an inn, since it lacks one.
  • Temple of Helm (Nicholas?)
  • Druid Circle Embassy?
  • Alternative to Inn: Sleep in barracks, eat in restaurant.
  • Jacob takes over the trader role, the 2 adventurers his family.

Inn name idea:

  • Final Rest
  • End of the Road
  • Last Pub
  • Open Coffin
