Cherew grew up with hes family and clan in the Great Dale north of Thay, at young age he soon became skilled with both the bow and sword and joined the hunting packs. During one of these hunting trips the Red Wizards of Thay attacked the clans temporarily village and killed most of the elves and took a few as slaves. Cherews hunting pack returned at the end of the assault and barely managed to drag away the few survivors after the Thayan slaughter. Cherew saw hes mother run toward the still form of hes father, before they both perished in a fireball.

The few survivors after the slaughter, mostly members of varying hunt packs decided to try to find and join other elven clans somewhere else, in hope of surviving. Cherews mind was clouded with thoughts of revenge and refused to join the others and went after the Thayans alone. Naturally he got caught and added to the slaves. After a few days of marching a mystical elf approached at the night and released the slaves, and took them within the forest. He was a Druid named Kizac, he told the slaved elves where to find their brethren. Cherew once again was to stubborn to head back, and asked for training in fighting the thayans. He accepted mostly to keep Cherew out of trouble.

It became soon obvious that Cherew held a grudge against humans and wizards especially, and Kizac tried to teach him to calm down. It also became quickly apparent that Cherew was to impatient to become a druid, so he sent letter for an old friend of him to drop by. About a week after Cherew attacks a lone human walking in on Kizac's groove, and was throughly beaten up. Kizac walks up and present them for each-other, the human is named Toran, a ranger of the dalelands, and that he is to be Cherews new teacher for a while. After the initial murder attempts and getting beaten up some more, Cherew has to accept that this Toran is a good warrior at least, and that deserves respect. After a few years learning under Toran's stern hand, him and Kizac at least manage to learn Cherew to think before trying to attack humans, and there are some good and some evil humans as well. They also arranges to have Cherew teach some of the basics of magic, so he at least knows what he is fighting against.

Toran takes him to Dalelands, where he is to spend one year learning about magic under a wizard. The wizard, is yet another human to Chew's horror and annoyance, and after a few days of settling down respect, and in general holding Chew out of the top of the tower with a Bigby's Clenched Fist, Cherew agrees to do as been told. The wizard calls himself Thalic, and obviously does not hail from Toril, but from someplace he calls Sigil.

Eventually the year is past and Cherew returns to Toran, whom tells him that hes education is now finished, and ask him if hes willing to go look up a rumor about a village near an elf settlement being in trouble, saving the human village would help the elves to survive as well. Cherew agrees and head off…

Cherew is gruff, rude, unsocial and in general a iretate person. Hes always alert, and never lets hes guard down. Treats every person as a possible danger, not difficult to say he seldom make friends, but those few he trusts he usually defend and help in any situation. He have a huge grudge against humans, and dislike being even close to them. He usually gets along well with anything else except half orcs, orc + human is just to much for him, he attacks on sight. He have learned to control himself a bit more through the years, and can even go into small villages without trying to kill someone, however when threatened or in choice of enemies humans usually goes first.

He serves as a little bit of everything person on the teams he have helped on, hes a good scout and archer, also goes for a passable melee warrior and often do most of the tactical combat. Can also do minor cleric stuff like healing if i desperate times. Lately been known to find and disarm traps even. can see and hear things better than almost anyone else.

He once swore to protect Zijela with hes life to her father Ranthar, and he fully plan to uphold that promise. their common tie to nature and elven heritage have made them good friends in the time they have traveled together. Cherew still pity her for her human heritage.

closest family died under Thayan assault on clan village. Some distant relatives still live around in the great dale and Yuirwood.

Thalic, a human wizard from somewhere else called Sigil thought Cherew about magic and how to fight it. after spending one year in hes tower.
