  • Friendly
  • Happy

    2. Hair hanging down over shoulders. Originally short
    3. Eyes are blue, and slanted like the south

As you walk into the inn looking around people look up and see you for the first time. They see a young man, with dark brown hair falling over your shoulders, slightly handsome with a smirk on your mouth, and lazy blue eyes looking casually over everyone and lingers on a barmaid before moving on. Dressed in worn leather armor over dark green travelling clothes, a backpack on your back, heavy and solid looking boots and a grey cloak slung back from your head. A mace hangs from your belt, and a longspear from the backpack. You walk over to the barkeep and start a conversation about the weather, as you scan the crowds for interesting people.

The backpack is usually filled up with useful tools for the road and mercenary work. A spade is strapped to the back, a bunch of canvas to either side, some rope, and you can see a torch butting out from under the top.

Attitude

Despite what people think of you, you're a serious and pragmatic person, that calculates things through with cold logic and reason. You're neither a hero nor a villain, selling your skills for profit, and enjoying the accomplishment of being good at what you do. Your job sometimes forces you to hurt people including innocents, you don't like it and try to avoid it as much as you can but sometimes you got to make hard choices if the money is good enough. In combat you often switch over to the serious mode if you feel pressured or endangered, and can make swift tactical decisions.

Back when you had to flee your old town to get away from your pursuers, you've started adopting a new personality as a disguise, combined with changing your behaviour, habits, hair style and colour. The new personality started with trying to be different while still finding ways to get things done, but not letting go any information about yourself that might get you tracked down, this also makes you reluctant to show your Spellthief abilities and you've hired on as mercenary several times as a rogue instead.

People see you as a friendly and social guy, that loves laughs and jokes, does silly things for fun, tries to hit on barmaids with bad luck, in general seems to enjoy life. And you've come to love it, the easygoing life-style, playing the clown, doing things you wouldn't have dared or found just stupid before, and watching people enjoying your presence. It frees you somehow, lets you forget your past for a little while, and you have the chance to do things you wouldn't have dreamt about trying in the past.

With the mercenaries you've learned a lot of down to earth things and attitudes. The importance of always planning rations, a place to sleep, a fire, water, and a safe spot to place your back. Everyone in the group learned to do basic chores that didn't need much training like making basic food, fix minor wagon problems, tend to animals, guard duty, digging defensive positions and guard posts, fight as groups, sewing clothes and tents, basic leather working, and other things related to working out in the fields. You're not an expert but you know the basics. The mercenary style fitted well with your more logical way of thinking, which you are trying to break away from. You've also gotten lot of training with crossbows and spears as those where the preferred weapons of the mercenaries, you've come to the conclusion that while you understand why they worked well for the group, they don't really fit you personally.

You still have no idea how to deal with all of the problems from your past, or how to save pool Mel, but you'll have to deal with that after you're certain the pursuers aren't still on your heels.

Ursu have bought 5x sq yard of canvas, and sewn it together into a tent-canvas of 320x185cm. It has both buttons and button holes around the side so that it can be buttoned together with itself or other similar canvas, and each corner has a metal ring sewn into it so that you can faster ropes or proper poles into it as needed. This is used to make small one man shelter tents, or can be combined with several other canvas-tent's to form larger tents. It is colored olive green for practical reasons from the old mercenary group he worked for.

Chapter 1: The Beginning

In the Verunan embassy in the Kinriu capital, a young and promising courtier eager for fame and promotion is doing everything he can to get the attention of the higher ranks and show that he is a honourable and honest person deserving of their trust. So when he hears that one of the Kinriu women he has been having an illicit relationship with is with child, he orders his servants to bribe the woman to disappear from court, and make certain the child is dead. The servant must have thought this was to cruel a fate for an innocent child, and sent the baby to an Orphanage run by a church in the neutral town of Attalore instead, figuring that no one would notice.

Chapter 2: Orphanage

Restful Home: The Church of Sanlui - The Resting Mother in Attalore also serves as the cities largest Orphanage, supporting itself by donations from concerned citizens, a couple of organizations willing to donate some to keep the streets mostly clean from beggar children, and a couple of other churches that support them in their actions. The church of Sanlui in her image as a mother and the renewal of all things, has taken it upon itself to help those that have lost their own mothers and fathers, and to let them find a new path in life. The church is led by Father Andrei Sergeivich a calm and dignified priest that listens to everyone and calms their fears, and is a firm believer that a part of his responsibility is to participate in all aspects of his church, so he makes it a point to help out in the orphanage several times a week, to most of the acolyte's shock and amusement the first time they watch him changing diapers on a crying baby, and sitting reading good night stories.

The young boy grew up in the orphanage, making friends and rivals, getting into fights and laughing with them a few minutes after. Having never experienced anything else it all seemed perfectly natural, and the priests where for the most part nice people. The boy was given the name Urzu as he did not come with a name already, given by the head priest Andrei as he told it was a name from his home. He became close friends with a girl about the same age named Melissa, they played together when younger, helped each others out with all kinds of problems from homework to bullies. Most of the other children considered him a nice guy, but a bit to competitive and serious at times.

Chapter 3: The Guild (How you got into the guild, your training, and the group)

Growing up always means that curiosity expands to new areas, and with such a big city to explore a teenage boy can easily lose himself. after befriending a scoundrel by the name of Susumu Kugayama [R1-hm-NE], who introduced him to the seedier parts of town and the criminal side. At first tagging along the older boy and stand lookout or pulling distractions while they did their work, later participated directly in thievery and robbing. At this stage he was already a member of the gang and a part of the criminal group known as Warehouse 6, the local thieves guild.

Later on, Susumu learns about Urzu's strange ability to connect with magic, and mentions this to his superiors, they promote him into a special unit which Susumu is also a part of, specializing in dealing with spell-casters. Urzu is now part of the middle ranks of the organization. Susumu is the leader of the team, and there are three others in it as well, each is being trained in fighting against and neutralizing spell-casters of all types. Urzu is starting to feel a bit uncomfortable with things, but he is paid decent and it provides a good opportunity to learn about his ability so he endures.
